3月22日 Greek IslandsWent to the greek islands (and Athens) with Min last week, our second 'honeyweek'. The trip was awesome! Having been back to the city for only 3 days, already feel down. What if one could be forever free! No, back to work, work hard, harder than ever...This is a time, after all, one celebrates for having a job to go to.
8月19日 a long way to go...5月25日 the seven-summit从网上找到这张图 （可以贴吗？没有侵权？）。最近又看了一本有关everest的书：the climb。想起了into thin air里介绍的the seven-summit plan for mountaineers。科普一下，就是全世界的登山爱好者可以挑战这样一件了不起的事:登上7大洲的最高峰。它们分别是（图上所标）：

Mt Kilimanjaro 5963m Africa
Mt Everest 8848m Asia
Mt McKinley 6195m UA
Mt Elbrus 5633m Europe (Russia)
Vinson Massif 4897m Antarctica

当然，任何事情都有批评家。有些人声称seven summit 没什么大不了的。因为accidentally，每个洲的最高峰并不是最难爬的。比如说，K2，亚洲第二峰就以其challenging闻名，每年死在上面的人数远远超过everest的。因此，他们提出过一个seven second summit的说法。。。作为评价更为hardcore的登山者的壮举（当然也就离我们普通观众的境界更远了。。
 ）。最近还听说了一些有关everest的事，所以一并写下来：朋友的朋友死在了everest，就在几天前。默哀！（虽然我不认识他，但感觉上已经很close了，以前从没有梦想过可以认识任何一个climb everest的人，in person）。布拉格的市长登上了everest，也在几天前。（questions may be raised that how can a mayer find himself time (3 months!) to do this?
）。此外，相比之下澳洲的最高峰就像是个joke，还没有我们黄山高呢！没办法，生来就不公平。亚洲超过8000m的高峰就有14座呢！自豪！5月15日 no titlewho by fire (me), who by water (you?),

一下子就记住了，这不正是我们的成语‘始乱终弃’的最好翻译嘛！正好最近在谈话中寻找这个词的频率有所增加，Yeah! |
